floor leveler

My contractor has put down one layer of floor leveler and you can still see spots where the heater is so laying the tile will be some what uneven. Should they lay another layer of this stuff or will the thinset work it out? The tile is rather thin so it is not very forgiving. Please help! |

Greetings, Generally our system should be encased in a 3/8” layer of cement. Do you know how much leveler was poured? If there isn’t too much leveler down, I would suggest pouring some more to get a flat surface, and then using the thinset to set your tile. If your installer is good with a trowel, they may be able to even the floor with the thinset itself. I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me again! -Seth |
