Can it heat the ROOM?

Hi, I’m considering installing your product in a bathroom that is 6’ x 6.5’. Two of the four walls are outside walls and have been insulated properly. Some floorspace will be occupied by a neo-angle shower unit that is 37” x 37”. My question is… Will the heat mat have enough output to keep the ROOM comfortable (68-70 degrees Farenheit), not just the floor? Would I need to keep the run of baseboard heating currently installed? Also, my intention is to use Schulter’s DITRA over the mat. I read other posts that state the Ditra won’t ultimately affect the output. Please advise. Thanks! |

Peter, Generally I would recommend our system as a secondary heat source, however, there have been more than a few instances in which our customers have been able to use it as a primary. Here is a link to our online heat-loss calculator: http://hlc.warmlyyours.com/room/room_general Just plug in the values as you go. Once the calculation is complete you will have a definitive yes or no answer as to whether the system will work as a primary heat source. If there are anyother questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. -Seth |
